We explored the artist Pablo Picasso. He was born in Spain. He was involved in the art movement called cubism. He was able to draw before he was able to talk. We created some cubist portraits of our own and had great fun!

Over the past couple of weeks the boys have been working hard to gather as many shoeboxes, filled with some Christmas gifts, for those in need for Team Hope’s annual appeal. The boys (and their parents!) have done so well and have collected an amazing 120 boxes to be sent to those in need this Christmas. It was a brilliant effort by everyone involved and all your efforts are hugely appreciated. Well done all!

Halloween Fun!

admin : November 8, 2018 1:46 pm : Ms. Fox

On Friday 26th our class dressed up for Halloween and many of us did the Freaky Friday walk. Our class played 2 different games in school. The first game was trying to fetch an apple out of a basin full of water. The second game we played was you had to try to get a sweet out of a bowl of flower and try to get a sweet with your mouth. We watched Home Alone and we ate a lot of sweets to finish the day.

New G.P. Hall

This year the school has begun work on a new general purpose room for the school. We have not received any funds from the Department of Education and Skills and so the project will be entirely self funded. This, needless to say, will be a huge undertaking, but is necessary as the school is in desperate need of a suitable hall for school activities and classes. This will require a huge fundraising effort and so we hope the whole school community can get involved over the coming months. Our fundraising begins with our Golf Classic event, hosted by Loughrea Golf Club from the 12th to the 15th of September. All are welcome to take part and all support greatly appreciated.
The 3D images below are renderings of what our finished hall will look like from the outside. It will certainly be a huge addition to the school!
