FUNDRAISING

Brendan’s Boys’ School celebrates its 50 years on its current site this school year. Up until now our school didn’t have a hall where we could all assemble. Despite numerous applications, the Dept. of Education has refused to fund the project. The Board of Management decided that it is in the best interest of our pupils to go ahead and build this much needed hall itself. The entire cost of the build has to be raised through local fundraising. St. Brendan’s Boys’ School caters for boys from 1st to 6th class. There are 220 pupils in our school who will greatly benefit from the provision of this much needed facility, as well as the future generation of boys who will be part of our school.

How you can help

The estimated cost of the project is €200,000. We have already raised a small portion of that through various initiatives this year and in previous years. Since the beginning of the year we have been asking parents and those connected with the school to contribute €250 towards the school building fund. The school can also claim tax back on that money meaning your contribution goes even further towards achieving our target of raising €200,000. The Chaser

Our upcoming fundraiser is our biggest venture yet. “The Chaser” will be held on Thursday April 11th, 2019 at 8pm, at Lough Rea Hotel and Spa, and we are asking businesses around the area to support us. There are different options available between Exhibitor packages and Advertiser Packages and all help is hugely appreciated. We have had a great response from many of our local businesses thus far and we will be returning the favour by helping to promote and publicize the below list of local services, made up of those who have given us some much needed help
