Friendship Week

Each class took part in activities promoting the idea of friendship and what is means to be a good friend. As a whole school we created a friendship tree which contains a picture of each child and a positive adjective about themselves.

Well done to our Gaelic Football teams who played very well in a challenge match against St Patrick’s Boys’ School on Wednesday. We played two matches, won one of them but lost the other. Not a bad result. Football training takes place on Mondays from 3 – 4pm.

Coaches from Loughrea Rugby club visited our school recently and provided a training session for each class. They thought pupils new skills such as passing, tackling and catching . They put their new skills into practice with a match at the end.

Our Hurling team had their first outing of the year last Friday in Carrabane. They took part in the Mini 7’s competition. Training continues on Wednesdays from 3-4pm.
