The school, thanks to the funding of St. Vincent de Paul have recently started up our Homework Club again. The Homework Club runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3 o’clock to 4:15. Thanks to the subsidy of St. Vincent de Paul it costs just €10.
The Homework Club takes place in the 2nd and 3rd class classrooms and children go straight from their own classroom to there at the the 3 o’clock bell. They are allowed to eat while they begin their work and so should be given an extra lunch on the days that they are attending. They are supervised and helped with their homework by two teachers from the school and it is generally accepted that if a good effort is made by them within the hour of homework club that they would be finished their homework for the night. The Homework Club finishes at 4:15 and children are not permitted to leave before then.
We limit places in Homework Club to ensure that those that need help can receive it from the teacher on duty. While the school generally nominates those they feel might benefit from attending you can fill out the contact form below to express your interest in it and should spaces open up you will be informed.
