World Book Day

Today was World Book Day. We decided we should celebrate the day by dressing up. Lots of the children dressed up as characters from their favourite books and we saw some really creative costumes!! Each class also did a reading slot during the day that meant as a school we read continuously for the whole day!!

As we were also beginning our Weekly Walk to School this week we thought what better way to mark the beginning of it than with a walk in our costumes. Over 90 children walked to school from the cathedral and from Banogue. We will be continuing this walk every Wednesday from the same places and encourage as many students as possible to join us whenever they can. We want to encourage everybody to get more active and save our environment by using their cars less. To get you in the mood why not have a look at some photos from the day below, and for lots more photos from our different events why not check out our gallery page!
