As the time comes around each January to begin organising our enrollment evenings for next year’s 1st class, it brings with it a time to reflect on all that has been achieved during the year, as we put together the school prospectus.
It has been a very busy and successful last 12 months. Our sports teams have competed very well to reach finals at the highest levels, our school has attained another Green Flag, its 5th, is in the process of retaining its Active School Flag and our Health Promoting committee continues to do great work in promoting healthy bodies and minds throughout the school.
Our quiz teams recently came 1st and 3rd in the local chapter table quiz in St. Brigid’s and our junior team came 3rd in their competition on what was a very proud night for the school. Our senior team will now turn its attention to the next round of the national competition.
Huge work was also begun on improving the school’s facilities with work well underway on building our new school hall. As a result of the need to fund the project ourselves there has been huge efforts put in by parents and pupils to raise money through various initiatives, the biggest of which so far was our Cyclothon. More to come on this front so stay tuned…
Below are some pictures from the past 12 months as we look forward to another 12 that I’m sure will bring about lots more developments and excitement.
